It was only a matter of time before the engineers at Mercedes-AMG would take the logical next step: the development of their own unique masterpiece: Enter the SLS AMG.

With its iconic gullwing doors, wide radiator grille with wing-like fin reminiscent of the 1950’s Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, this sporty yet refined vehicle sure packs a punch with its ability to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds and deliver a top speed of 317 km/h.

The SLS AMG boasts an impressive technology line up including an aluminium space frame body; an AMG 6.3-litre, V8 mounted front mid engine with an output of 420kW/571 hp at 6,800 rpm; 650 Nm of torque; seven speed dual clutch in a transaxle configuration; a sports chassis with aluminium double-wishbone suspension and a kerb weight of 1,620kg - a combination guaranteed to provide spine-tingling driving performance.

Another characteristic feature of the SLS AMG is its delicate craftsmanship by the hands of specially selected, highly qualified specialists. This is evident in the purist design, retro styling elements, lightweight construction and superior handling dynamics of the model.

Whilst the exterior of the vehicle is nothing short of eye-catching, the interior certainly makes its own statement. Noticeably, the interior draws on influences from aircraft design and construction and evokes associations with plane cockpits. This can be seen in the air vents in the dashboard to the elongated centre console to the concave interior trim of the gullwing doors.

As you would expect, the SLS AMG comes with an extensive range of standard equipment such as heated sports seats, sports pedals, cruise control and designo leather for interior appointments, among others.
